Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage, is a type of massage that applies a firm pressure to the deeper layers of muscles and fascia in the body. Deep tissue massage can be used for chronic aches and pains including, neck pain, back pain and muscle tightness. Some of the strokes are the same as those used in Swedish massage, however the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.
Deep tissue massage is beneficial in reducing chronic pain, improving blood pressure, breaking up scar tissue, rehabilitating injured muscles as well as providing stress relief to the entire body.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is used for the treatment and prevention of sports injuries. It can be beneficial for those suffering with musculoskeletal injuries. Sports massage uses a variety of techniques including MET and PNF to manipulate soft tissue to release tension and reduce pain.

This type of massage is used to improve muscle flexibility, prepare the body for physical activity and aid in athletic recovery.

Lava Shells Massage

Lava shells are the world’s first self-heating massage tool. Lava and glacial shells are used in combination to treat muscle aches and pains. The shells give of calcium ions when heated that transfer to the skin during the massage, benefits include relaxation, reduce swelling, soothe aches and pains and boosts circulation.

Seated acupressure massage also known as on-site chair massage is a hybrid of the ancient Oriental massage arts of Anma and Shiatsu. Your therapist will use their hands, thumbs and elbows and follow a specific sequence of movements to stimulate the pressure points in the neck and back.  These movements are designed to improve the flow of energy throughout the body.  Treatments are designed to be done without removing clothes or the use of oils, and should last no longer than 20 minutes.  Treatment will be received seated face forward in an ergonomically designed chair that supports the client’s posture.
